Starting of the LICROX meeting at Centro Congressi Unione Industriali Torino

After the presentations of Guanda Zhou and Anna Louidice (TUM) about the latest advances on the semiconductors for the photo-anode and cathode (WP3), Carles Ros (ICFO) summarized the final work within WP4: light trapping in the PEC. After the coffee break, started the main discussion on WP5: PEC implementation and validation, where all the efforts are now focused on combining the parts developed by the different teams in a final device. The discussion was useful to establish general procedures and a plan for the next months.

The meeting ended with a visit to the Hysytech workshop, where attendees could see the 3D-printed parts of the PEC prototype.

To end the day LICROX members enjoyed a delicious Piemontese dinner in Torino’s centre.

The second day focused on updates from WP6: Environmental impacts, social acceptance, dissemination and exploitation, presented by Niels Tjelle Holm (DBT) and Laura López (ICIQ). With especial attention to the citizen workshops currently being carried out in five European countries. Next, Laura López and Eva Alcázar from ICIQ informed about the status of WP7, Project and financial management. Before the coffee break, the consortium discussed some more issues about WP5 and how to proceed with the testing phase.

The meeting ended with the invaluable participation of two members of the External Advisory Board: Maximilian Fleischer (Siemens Energy) and Anna Ramunni (De Nora) who were present at the meeting and could share their feedback on the progress of the project, closing the meeting with a final discussion on the coming goals and challenges.

The final consortium meeting will take place in Tarragona, at ICIQ facilities, next 17 and 18 July 2023.
